Today is the last presentation of poly life and ... we end it with kms . Besides , the end of the semester , some ups and downs , some reluctant , happiness . Today on everyone request , I contribute the last kms blog entry to miss teo .....

today is my last kms lesson .... a lesson never taught ...


Initially when i thought about kms- knowledge management , I was unsure about this module , all along , I felt we will acquiring knowledge throughout our life , it can be consider a life lesson ... , from miss teo's teaching techniques was one of a kind .... eg. allowing us to express our opinions , and give us space for learning and creativity , infact , I was impressed with her way of doing thing allowing us to have the most updated news during lecture although the notes were quite last minutes .

In kms , the lesson was one of a kind , i enjoyed the part of taking photos relating to kms .... some incentive for this ... although I do not fully understand about the way of knowledge management but in some way i felt we all do learn something at the end of the day..

Recalling , 2 months back , she distribute us the candies and chocolates bars , I felt it kind of make my days .... chirstmas? with the basket full of snacks and the notes she had roll up nicely in a purple ribbon for us ..... I think it had takes alot of effort in doing this .... but thoughts do counts .

Week - last week ?

Just return from today project meeting for kms , we discuss about our presentation and our report , some area of improvement to take note of , We had a agreement to help kashing should he want to be involve in the project but found out he just changed his number . anyway , today was a brainstorming session, some improvement on portal interface , so mean more work for yijun and we talk about how to present it well , nureen will be doing the powerpoint slides , preparing the material for kms . last week , let's do it .

week 14 - kms report improvement .....

Our kms report was back , some area of improvements to take note off , I just took some time looking over this and thinking of the report and the need to ask them for meeting .........

week 11 - e-learning system

Task for week 11

1. Create a blog entry on your personal view of the effectiveness of using MEL as a tool for learning the KMs module .
2. comment on one learning point ( idea , concept , teaching methods , realization) that you took away from the e-learning activities you have particpated in .

What I felt about using MEL , Today lecture and workshop , we had some discussion about elearning or using MEL ,some pros and cons options about using online chat , forum discussion , quiz in term of conification .

I felt that NP MEL had help to facilicate elearning in knowledge management . Using it daily to check modules updates for lecture notes and etc .....I realised that in some way MEL do bought convenience to our live as a student especially during elearning week , really thank the person who thought of using this concept for BIT . For this modules , I found alot of new and interesting techniques such as taking 20 photographs for kms related things , something i had never heard before . I personally felt that interactive techniques should be used frequently . MEL had provided me with the relevant tools I needed such as discussion board , java chat, student e-mail links and etc ........ the discussion forum for kms , bascially as agree with adeline , there will alot of repeated similar answers but it is actually a standard procedure to do homework , and I felt we learned only if we reall bother to go and read what is posted on the discussion board ( esp during exam period) / As for the quiz , it was benificial to me though the essay part did made me search for some relevant answers on state-of-art facilicities and etc ....... and i find it okie , i learnt something about it .

A s for online java chat , it was too fast for me to catch up with my classmates; opinions probably due to too many people submitting or replying at once , bascially it will be better if the font is coloured so i will know from where . some highlights will be great .

As for part 2 , I do not understand what the qn is about but I was thinking a focus group discussion will be rather beneficial , because free response and a better setting such as a small classroom , or having mutiple roles and particpate in the dicussion face to face will be a great learning experience .

My part - week 10

it should be about week 10 , our first draft is due on 20th feb , need to rush them to get nureen to compile everything on the report . i had finish my part on

4. recommendations

week 7: Open House

it is openhouse of np , practically busy with many things , so not sure , what to do . will try to do , need to update a kms assignment due on 30th jan by particpating in the discussion , maybe should i held another meeting for term break , not sure actually .
