Week 4 : we need to progress

Today , We had a small group meeting for kms , which was going smoothly , i got 6 ppl in my group , so need to better utilise power , haven manage to contact kashing , must really call him on sat . Going to welcome 2005 soon , and end of story for 2004 . We have abit of discussion and we clarify our doubts on yahoo as yijun argue yahoo is a search engine , but we felt over the year with expansion , it is more than a search engine but a portal , we decided to narrow our comparision to msn and yahoo , these are what we are more familar , can;t say much on palmtree as it is rather hard to understand although the website provides relevant customers case studies . I had draft a work plan , this includes cattherine will be incharge of project scheule , discussion , all the graph thing , yijun will do a new interface for our portal ( an ideal one) but not gone into the details yet , kashing will do the survey on portal users and some research on niche and web portal , as for me , frank will be in charge of portal research behind msn and yahoo , nureen will finalise and finish the proposal . What a day , we schedule our next meeting on week 5 /tuesday 1-2pm , gotta ganbatte, something to mentioned ,we got a group name " Formual infinte " okie lo , at least we got a name . Need to learn to utilise time and plan the next meeting and research material , the deadline i set is 7th jan must finish respective task other then yijun task .

Knowledge management is about sharing and acquiring knowledge with a team of people in a project group ,on this project on kms , we are suppose to create new knowledge and share it with our fellow classmate , out group had chosen portal. The project bring about fellow friends from all walks of life to participate in the discussion , bacially , my project group is unique we need to link knowledge management to ou project goals and objectives , be it to improve on previous projects or to understand my team members better . There is a need to plan project schedule , plan on "to do thing and delegate role and responsiblities among ourselves . The good thing is we learn from one another and we made use of collabration tools such as msn to facilicate the progress of out project discussion , we also aim to create a knowledge sharing culture in our project group so my team members can actively particpate in the brainstorming session and contribute their ideas .

My first project team- lst meeting for kms ?

Just started my first entries for KMS online journal , hmm ... just a brief intro to my group members , a group of dynamic and nice people . They includes Catherine the Cat , Nureen , anyone who wanan to buy Bodyshop products can get from her at discount price , me Clara the author of the journal making plans , Frank the ah beng .... he looked like one , Yi Jun a happy-go-lucky person , and kashing the one with the loudest vocal u ever hear . It is such a weird combination .We will learn from each other and work hard to do our projects , we had our very first meeting last week thursday after kms lecture and we discuss some and decide on portal , though most of us will agree to a weblog sound easier . We need to start out research on the case studies related to portals and then do some compliation . Gotta to start working on this tonight . Hopefully , we can make the project well and good .
